Canada, UK

a member of the LCB collective

I am a Montreal-born visual artist currently based in Norwich, UK. My work is broadly

concerned with national identities and the role rural communities and landscape plays in their formation. I use photography to document the ambiguity of preconceived ideas versus the expectation of the viewer. I am primarily interested in the construction of cultural heritage, the materiality of imagined communities and its semiotics. I aim at creating a space in which the viewer is forced to re-examine his position concerning a phenomenon or concept.
